Simon Thompson founded Shoot Day Services after a career in the London Metropolitan Police. His final 12 years of service were spent in the prestigious CO19 Specialist Firearms Directorate as an operational armed response officer.
He was also a senior firearms and explosives enquiry officer for northwest London. Today, Simon is a registered firearms dealer authorised by the Home Office to trade in Section 5 Prohibited weapons and also to act as a carrier, not only for privately owned shotguns and rifles, but also for all categories of section 5 weapons, ammunition and explosives. Simon is a qualified APSI and BASC shooting instructor and with his vast shooting experience across all fields, he is exceptionally well placed to support private clients, estates, overseas visitors and the gun trade across the UK. His background also includes the highest level of police pursuit driver classification.
